Key responsibilities will be:

  • Production of a detailed, integrated Transition plan in conjunction with Finance SMEs and the leadership team
  • Monitoring and tracking of this plan, ensuring that it keeps on track
  • Prioritising the sequence of activities to be transitioned
  • Work with the following programme teams to ensure that transition activities are included in your plan and successfully managed in your specific area of responsibility:
    • Process changes
    • Knowledge Transfer (Building and monitoring of plans, matching KT recipients to SMEs)
    • Service governance and definition
    • Training
    • Recruitment
    • Change impact assessments
    • IT - systems access requirements, shared storage requirements, segregation of duties, Partnerlink and cost centre transition
    • Resolving and completing Division related activities identified during the transition assessment e.g. 3rd party contracts, cleaning & sign-off of data and accounts prior to transition
  • Monitor critical BAU activities and ensure that they are not impacted during the transition process
  • Maintain list of 'leavers' and prepare mitigation plans
  • Set go/no go criteria for handover of activities to the new team, monitoring the progress of 'handover' for your area
  • Organise and run programme implementation governance for your area
  • Monitor financial controls and segregation of duties during transition
  • Identify IT changes which may impact BAU activities during transition and ensure that mitigating action and appropriate communication takes place
  • Maintain risk and issue log - resolve issues and manage risks
  • Co-ordinate training activities (to include induction training, service training and technical training)
  • Put in place service management & service management reporting for Divisions in conjunction with the service manager

Skills Required

  • Experienced project manager who has previously worked on a Finance transformation
  • Experience of working in a finance function an advantage
  • Knowledge of a Finance transition/outsource/offshoring an advantage
  • Familiar with Oracle financials and Hyperion
  • Good understanding of finance controls, processes, policy and segregation of duties an advantage

Qualifications/Technical Skills

ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)

PRINCE2, MSP or similar

Proficient use of MS tools specifically MS Project
