Brand Finance Analyst

A market leading FMCG business in St Albans with multiple household brand names have an opportunity for a qualified accountant ( ACA/ACCA/CIMA), to join a busy Commercial Finance team.

Reporting to the Brand Finance Manager, key responsibilities will include:

- To provide support to the Brand Finance Manager with routine reporting and analysis, management of Consumer Marketing investment, budgeting and forecasting across various categories

- To operate as an effective Business Partner to the Marketing team, providing financial support, analysis and insight to drive business decisions

- Take financial responsibility for the brands

- Produce monthly performance reports, variance analysis and month end commentary

- Support the delivery of the brand annual performance targets

- Provide support to the Brand Managers on Innovation profitability both pre and post launch

- Actively participate in strategic projects involving business modelling and ' what if' scenarios

- Work closely with business partners and respond to ad-hoc queries providing accurate financial information to drive insight

Desired experience:

- ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified Accountant

- Strong analytical skills

- Strong academics

- Advanced excel skills

- Business Partnering experience in a cross functional environment

- Ability to challenge and influence as part of a matrix environment

- Able to build effective working relationships
