Rapidly growing and profitable Manufacturing company (SME, seeks ambitious and qualified accountant or part qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) to work in a demanding yet enjoyable environment. Candidates should be commercially aware and able to control, via a small team, all aspects of financial and management accounting, costing, variance analysis, KPI's and budgeting. Manufacturing experience, cash management and staff management skills are essential. Experience of food manufacturing industry would be an advantage.
You will be involved in all supporting reports and documentation for month end, reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, Stock valuation, accounting, monitoring and reporting (including end of year count process),Produce and develop weekly KPI's / Management reports.
Standards and Budgets:
Maintain the company standard costing system.
Variance Analysis - gross margin and contribution reporting / explanation, standard costs deviation - maintain and develop variance analysis tools
Work closely with marketing and production on costing, efficiency improvement and waste identification/reporting
Liaise with operational management in setting new standard costs.
Prepare the budget, specifically sales, Cost of Sales, Labour and overheads budgets by liaison with operational budget holders
Candidates should possess a "Can do" attitude, and the role would suit someone who is credible, together with strong influencing skills; a track record of delivering cost reduction and improvement in management information; a methodical approach to solving problems. Strong Excel skills are essential.
