I am currently working with a very well know men's tailoring retail brand who are looking for an ambitious Senior Finance Manager to join their team in the City of London. They have been experiencing exponential growth over the past two years and as very widely known on the high street. They are now looking to recruit a talented, bright & ambitious Finance Manager to provide their stores and Head Office functions with high quality financial reporting and a comprehensive control of costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the full spectrum of financial and management accounting, including regulatory reporting for the business
- Establishing and building excellent relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including Finance Director and all members of the Executive Board
- Ensuring our ways of working are as cost-effective as possible by monitoring day-to-day reporting and also implementing new processes where necessary
- Preparing monthly management accounts and annual reports, feeding back to the Head of Finance
- Budgeting and short and longer term forecasting
- Producing, reviewing and analysing financial information to support decision making by the senior management teams
- All local entity statutory accounts
- Assisting with the external audit at half year and full year including the preparation of all information required by the auditors and Group reporting manager
- Effectively managing a team of four direct reports
Experience & Skills:
- Qualified Accountant ACA, CIMA, ACCA (or equivalent)
- Experience of working in the Finance domain is essential, as the candidate needs to have a strong grasp of finance concepts and terminology from the outset.
- Experience of modelling and communicating business process.
- Experience of working in an Retail environment
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to listen and understand business needs
- Organisational skills - ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Well-developed influencing and decision making skills, showing clear leadership when it comes to driving out the definition of a problem and its solution.
