ABPM as experts in financial recruitment are exclusively supporting their client in the recruitment of a Finance Director. The client is a world leading provider of engineered support services to a world-wide portfolio of high profile customers in all sectors of the manufacturing industry. The new appointment of a Finance Director defines the expectations of the business to continue on the path of profitable and ambitious growth.
Your overall remit is to maximise company profitability and sustainability through timely provision of relevant and accurate financial and management information, business and cost modelling, leadership of profit improvement activity and the application of IT systems.
At an operational level you will have hands on management of day to day accounting function and production of timely and accurate financial information, including weekly KPI reports, management accounts, budgets and forecasts and commenting thereon on a day to day basis in addition to periodic reporting.
Define and roll out KPIs across all business areas
Proactively manage cash flow and working capital
Develop use of ITto extract full benefits in order to drive business improvement
Develop and utilise more sophisticated costing tools to enable margin improvement and support quotation process with OEMs and other larger customers
Assume responsibility for IT function and other appropriate administrative tasks
Assume responsibility for HR function and system development, liaising with outsourced advisors as required
Supervise currently 3 finance staff
Proactively participate in the business as a member of the senior management team, including rolling out key elements of the financial management function across the business as appropriate
Liaise (directly where appropriate) with Non Exec Shareholders, bank, auditors and professional advisers
Manage key non-production purchase contracts: utilities, insurance, communications
Oversee all matters with regard to building lease and sub-lease
Monitor/control commercially sensitive activities
Oversee payroll and time & attendance system
Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery Plan
We will be seeking applications from garduate qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA with a mimimum of 5 years + PQE in a manufacturing environment and highly IT literate.The leadership group have a collobarative style so it goes without saying you will be a team player, but independent thinker and streetwise and good communicator.
Capable of growing with the business the liikely candidate's current profile will be someone drawn from a Manufacturing environment (turnover £20 million +), preferably with exposure both to the capital goods and engineering sector. Experience of international accounting and management of currency risks and already holding responsibilty for accounting, IT and HR functions
