Imanova Limited is a translational imaging company located on the Hammersmith Hospital/ Imperial College London site in West London. Imanova operates a unique clinical imaging centre with state-of-the-art PET and MRI technology used to support of medical and pharmaceutical research.

This position provides a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to play a key role in managing and developing the Finance function at Imanova.

The role will report to our Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and will have specific responsibility of ensuring the timely delivery of accurate financial and management reporting and supporting the CFO with management of fiscal affairs of the company, including external audit, treasury and insurance.

The Financial Controller will:

  • Management and development of the Finance function, including people management.
  • Provide divisional monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting requirements.
  • Provide cash flow management.
  • Provide decision-support to key management stakeholders.
  • Providing actionable insights from analysis to drive performance.
  • Implement new systems in Finance, and of relevance to Finance.
  • Ensure all transactional, VAT and payroll requirements are met through work-flow.
  • Act as the key point of contact for the year-end audit and tax comps.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in Finance.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Be an ACA qualified accountant, ideally with a degree.
  • Have previous experience of managing the month end close and produced an accurate commentary.
  • Be able to demonstrate a lead role in the budgeting/forecasting process, including engagement with non-financial stakeholders.
  • Possess a strong technical background and be comfortable liaising with auditors.
  • Have previous people management and leadership experience
  • Have a “hands-on” approach and be comfortable with working at both a senior and transactional level.
  • Have previous experience of inter-company trading would be an advantage.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to manage as well as build relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Demonstrate awareness of commercial aspects of the business.
