Howarth Morris are excited to be exclusively recruiting for an award winning organisation based in the Warrington area. This Global/ well known company is looking to add an experienced Payroll Supervisor to their 11 strong Payroll team. Working within a fast paced and dynamic environment, this role will contribute to the wider payroll team to provide vital managerial support to the team members and co-ordinate payroll activities for the Group and its subsidiaries.

The successful candidate will have previous Payroll and Supervisory experience, and be able to hit the ground running delivering 1-2-1's and performance support in the team.

The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for:-

• Manual calculations including calculating entitlements to occupational sick pay, SSP, SMP, SPP
• End to end running of a number of payrolls
• Efficient query resolutions
• Introduce best practice and internal control procedures where appropriate
• Ensuring payroll cycle deadlines are met by the team
• Reconciliation checks of teams Payroll data
• Administer and develop time and attendance systems for accuracy, auditing outputs
• Ad hoc payroll reporting
• Assist payroll administrators with day to day processing and development
• Ensure all errors are reported correctly
• Working with the Payroll Manager and Head of Payroll to create, implement and develop process maps and operating procedures
• Understand and Interpret company policies, contractual terms, and government regulations affecting payroll and entitlements.

The successful candidate will have:-

• CIPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification advantageous

  • Supervisory/ Managerial experience assisting team performance

• Experience in a fast paced, multi-site payroll environment
• Effective use of Excel and ability to produce spreadsheets and reports
• Experience using Payroll and Time Attendance Software
• Understanding of legislation and regulations involved in payroll processing
• Be able to calculate pay-slip's manually
• Ability to present information back to the Payroll Team and other employees of the company
