As a global leader within the Property Services sector, this established real estate management group provides market leading, end-to-end solutions and “best in class” occupiers and investors services to a brand-name international client portfolio. A business restructure following a high profile and complex EMEA transformation programme and integration project, alongside the merger of two large businesses, has created an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to undertake a Divisional Financial Controller role. Supporting a global business unit and the senior finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of key business objectives, financial reporting and compliance. Your brief includes:

•Supporting the provision of internal & external financial reporting & ensuring financial control & integrity in line with UK & EMEA Controllership objectives
•Assisting with month, quarter & year end close processes for UK legal entities
•Working alongside the Finance Shared Services team to deliver key month end close activities including Balance sheet reconciliations, allocations & intercompany, top side journals, validation & reviews of statutory P&L & Balance sheet reports
•Management of financial data integrity through SOX control framework & systems mapping
•Maintaining compliance to Group & local accounting policies
•Identify & recommend updates & improvements for accounting systems & ongoing process improvements to EMEA Controllership team
•Supporting UK quarterly & annual accounts consolidated at EMEA & Group level
•Business partnering with internal Finance, Legal & HR teams to ensure accounting policy & procedure alignment
•Supporting external auditors on group & UK statutory audits
•Supporting the preparation of cash flow forecasts

As a graduate ACA qualified chartered accountant having trained within a Big4/TOP 10 firm, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of financial controllership activities within a global professional services environment, experience in managing month end processes within a Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) or retained Shared Service Centre (SSC) model and evidence of leading large audits. The role demands senior stakeholder management experience, critical thinking and analytical skills with a proven ability to simplify complicated financial matters.
