Commercial Financial Analyst

A business restructure following a high profile and complex EMEA transformation programme and integration project, alongside the merger of two large businesses, has created an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to undertake a Senior Financial Analyst role. Supporting a key global business unit, you will be responsible for finance commercial finance business partnering an EMEA division (country cluster), working closely with a Senior Finance FP&A Lead & the Divisional CFO on financial strategy, financial planning & analysis, forecasting and competitor analysis. Your brief includes:

•Supporting the development & successful delivery of business unit financial strategy, financial planning, budgeting & forecasting & market intelligence
•Championing revenue growth & cost control by producing intelligent financial analysis to facilitate business decision making
•Development & delivery of insightful financial analysis aligned with business drivers
•Supporting key financial decision, including capital appraisals & investments, acquisitions & disposals
•Preparation of commercial proposals, business cases & contracts for executive approval
•Manage & take accountability for business unit statutory & regulatory reporting & audit requirements
•Supporting Divisional-level forecasting & budgeting processes
•Assisting with driving business unit & divisional financial performance
•Actively manage & develop BPO-Business Process Outsourcing skillset to ensure the delivery of end to end finance processes & added value through FP&A
•Review of monthly Divisional-level management information including insights to drive revenue growth & cost control
•Presentation of monthly management information to explain results & challenge & influence actions of senior non-finance stakeholders

As a graduate ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant, having trained within the Big 4/Top 10 or a blue-chip FTSE environment, you will possess a strong track record in EMEA or international Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and commercial analysis gained within a large global business. With existing Finance Business partnering experience, you will demonstrate exposure to a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) model or retained Finance Shared Service (FSSC) environment, experience of senior stakeholder management (EXCOM C-suite level) and the ability to translate financial data into commercial language. The role demands commercial focus, outstanding interpersonal skills and confidence in challenging and influencing key decision makers.
