About the job
As Financial Accountant, you would be expected to carry out the following duties & responsibilities:
- Managing daily & weekly reporting to the finance function
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Carrying out general accounting duties accurately and efficiently
- Responsibility for all areas of the P&L and balance sheet, producing monthly accounts with variance analysis & commentary
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Ensure reconciliations completed each month
- Ensure monthly & quarterly VAT returns are completed on time
- Dealing with any queries or a TAX or legal nature, liaising with HMRC, the Auditors or any other relevant body to ensure compliance.
About the person
- A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or international equivalent) or by qualified by experience (QBE)
- Ideally, previous experience within a fast paced environment
- Strong knowledge of core financial systems
