Group Financial Accountant

Our client is an international Business Services company with its European HQ based in London.  Operating throughout the world and with a large European presence, the business is a vibrant, growing organisation with a unique array of business and service lines.

The Group Financial Accountant will support the European Financial Controller in key monthly and annual financial statements and will offer the successful candidate invaluable experience and exposure across a broad range of financial deliverables.  Based in Central London, the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record within a leading audit practice and will be comfortable working to tight schedules and delivering ad-hoc financial project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and delivery of monthly financial accounting submissions and annual statutory accounting under IFRS and UK GAAP;
• Reviewing submissions from country finance teams, ensuring that they are prepared in accordance with local accounting principles and best-practice guidelines;
• Ensuring that month-end close and reporting deadlines are met in a timely and accurate fashion;
• Undertaking ad-hoc analysis of financial and business results across various territories and business lines in the European region.

The Successful Candidate:

• Qualified ACA with a background in a practice;
• Well-developed knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, ideally with some experience of auditing consolidated, multi-currency financial statements;
• Experience of accounts preparation from within the Practice environment would be advantageous;
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, allied to a desire to develop within a commercial environment.
