We are working with a £10m turnover family owned business who are enjoying a period of growth and profitability.
They are looking to recruit a dynamic finance manager to cover their senior finance manager during a period of maternity leave.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is the senior finance role within the business and forms part of the management team.
Key responsibilities will include:
1.Preparing and presenting the monthly balance sheet and profit and loss accounts
2.Providing Operational management with relevant KPIs and management reporting to assist decision making and operational planning
3.Management of finance team within the business
4.Managing the stock take and stock management processes.
5.Completing statutory returns on behalf of the business, including (but not necessarily limited to) CIS and VAT returns
6.Management of the audit process
7.Working with operational management to create the annual budget to group timetables
8.Monthly re-forecasting
9.Purchase ledger / Sales Ledger - Managing both creditor and debtor days to maximise cash flow but to ensure supply of material and competitive credit terms
10.Credit checking process is thoroughly carried out and monitored.
There will also be scope in this role to review all processes within the finance function with a view to doing them more efficiently and effectively, so we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate who is willing to take on responsibility and deliver more value from the finance function.
