As a global leader within the Property Services sector, this established group provides market leading, end-to-end solutions and “best in class” investor services to an international client portfolio. A high profile and complex EMEA transformation programme and integration project, following a merger of two large businesses, has created an exciting opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant to undertake a 6-month assignment as a Financial Accountant. Supporting the UK Financial Controller on a key project involving audit, month-end and balance sheet processes, your brief includes:

•Resolution of audit issues for 25 UK statutory business entities
•Review of & investigation into balance sheet accounts to identify & resolve issues
•Recommending improvements for off-shore accounting processes
•Completion & review of statutory accounts & supporting documentation prior to external audit to ensure accounting robustness
•Review, challenge & investigation of supporting audit data & proposing adjustments
•Supporting outsourced audit activities including statutory accounts, tax submissions, VAT & regulatory reporting
•Reviewing the quality of balance sheet reconciliations focusing on intercompany, bank, accruals & prepayments and VAT control accounts & recommending improvements
•Supporting month end, quarter end & year end close processes for UK legal entities & ensuring compliance with internal controls
•Supporting the delivery of insightful financial analysis aligned with business drivers
•Assisting with preparation of monthly Divisional-level management information
•Working closely with Financial Shared Centre Controllership team to deliver key month end close activities including balance sheet reconciliations, allocations & intercompany, top side journals, validation & reviews of statutory P&L & balance sheet reports
•Supporting the preparation of cash flow forecasts

As a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant having trained within the profession, you will demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, experience of managing the month end reporting and reconciliation process and have previous exposure to a multi-entity, multi-currency business environment. The role demands a self-motivated, energetic approach, the ability to problem solve and the gravitas to influence and advise the non-finance community. Immediate start available.
