Our exclusive client based in East Lancashire is currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their growing organisation and develop the current controls and processes in order to support the companies’ growth plans. The client is a national organisation who are looking to develop their company performance through tighter controls in all areas including commercial, sales and finance.
The role will involve: -
- Responsible for the reporting of the company financials on both a monthly and yearly basis ready for Board presentation, and as well as producing the full audit pack
- Implement a full KPI reporting suite across the business, particularly looking at expenditure, labour variances and profitability for different service areas
- Develop an effective budget process and continually monitor the budgetary controls and departmental spend in order to maximise profitability across multiple sites
- Manage a small accounts/admin team, providing accurate and timely accounts prep
- Manage the monthly payroll process and sales commission payments
- For fill all HMRC, VAT and tax compliance payments
- Demonstrate strong commercial and strategic influence across the business in order to streamline costs and controls in all areas
- Work in partnership with fellow peers in order to meet the companies 3 yr growth strategy
The candidate will already have strong experience in: -
- Producing the monthly financials within an SME environment
- Be influential in their approach to the business and also building effective working relationships
- Fully Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience at senior level
This is an exciting time to join the business as the client is looking to push the company to the next level but this role is key in providing the financial support required to do so. They work in a niche market but pride themselves on being a major player in its field, they are therefore looking for someone to have a similar ethos and take pride in the work they do. You must be fully qualified and have already worked in an autonomous FC position, further promotion is available for the right candidate.
