Finance Manager

A great opportunity for someone looking to utilise their finance skills within a busy Artist Management Company that specialises in the music industry.

Reporting into the MD this role will manage the day to day finances of the business whilst also being very client facing.

You will need to have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and have good double-entry bookkeeping experience gained within a media company. You will be highly motivated and be able to take ownership for your own work.

The Role:

• General bookkeeping duties including sale, purchase and general ledger maintenance and reconciliation;
• Quarterly VAT Returns;
• Generating and analysing royalty statements;
• Tour & project budgeting;
• Bank reconciliations;
• Generating sales invoices, pay purchase invoices and chase outstanding payments;
• Weekly cashflow reporting;
• Withholding Tax accounting;
• Liaise with clients and Artist Managers on a daily basis.

The Person:

• Previous accounting experience gained within a media company is essential;
• Confident communication and strong interpersonal skills;
• Highly organised with the ability to multi-task, running many concurrent budgets at one time;
• Strong Excel skills;
• Able to work to own initiative and take ownership for workload;
• A knowledge of royalties/withholding tax would be a distinct advantage;
• Finance/Accounting graduate or AAT qualification preferred;
• An interest in Music;
• Diligent, conscientious, proactive and flexible on your approach.
