Consumer Additions are currently working with a leading innovative, design led consumer business currently looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join the team.   The business is growing rapidly with 30% year on year growth having appeared previously in the Sunday Times Fastest Growing Companies.  

Based in central London, the business is growing internationally and requires the services of a highly commercial finance analyst to build the commercial finance function.  You will be responsible for the budgeting and forcasting process, sales reporting, monthly management information and commentary.

  The successful candidate will be responsible for commercial business partnering with NPD teams, purchasing, sales/marketing and supply chain/logistics.  

Role responsibilities:  

Budgets and reforecasts:

  • Management and coordination of Annual budget and re-forecasting
  • Preparation of time schedule and guidelines, set-up of review documents, consolidation, review, critical analysis. Participation in meetings and analysis of P&L
  • Building models to improve accuracy of annual budget

Reporting:  

  • Daily sales reporting
  • Delivery of timely, accurate & high quality monthly management information & other regular financial reporting, with commentary that communicates the trends & challenges facing the business
  • Product development Board pack and meeting preparation

Business partnering and support to leadership teams

  • Commercial analysis and business decision making
  • Understand the business drivers in depth and be able to recommend changes necessary to drive costs down or sales up
  • Partner new product development teams, Purchasing teams and Sales teams

  Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA OR equivalent)
  • 1 - 3 years PQ experience in Financial planning
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Sector experience required ideally including Supply chain analysis  
  • Previous exposure to Management Accounting ideal
  • Experience working in a small to medium sized high performing finance team
  • A keen desire to problem solve
  • SQL literacy is a bonus
  • Hands on attitude – willing to roll the sleeves up!
