Job Overview:
Working alongside other Commercial functions and Finance partners, the essence of this role is to ensure that the company unlocks sustainable revenue growth through the creation of a clear and consistent Pricing and Investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities, scope for decision making, KPI’s:
- Price – Analyse brand/pack price points within the market, and in relation to cost of goods and commodity pricing, with a view to recommending if or when Price should be taken.
- Projects – Play an active role in implementing a new Pricing & Trade terms strategy and framework.
- Performance – Work across functions to ensure Revenue performance is understood, from which future plans are influenced.
- Product Formats – Provide Pricing guidance which supports new Brand initiatives.
- Investment Appraisal – Perform adhoc investment appraisals and support exceptional commercial decisions e.g. customer mergers.
- Governance – work with Finance and Business Operations to ensure effective investment management processes are in place and understood.
- Business and Market Understanding – Maintain a high level of relevant category, brand and customer knowledge in order to ensure Pricing & Investment strategies are consistent and complementary with other commercial plans.
Qualifications and Professional Experience
- Experience of working within the FMCG industry.
- Highly analytical, with proven commercial acumen and financial understanding.
- Experience working within/leading cross-functional teams and projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong working relationships with key stakeholders across different teams.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Confident & credible in front of senior management.
- Instinctively able to challenge the status quo with healthy balance of assertiveness and tact.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills including time management and priority setting .
- The ability to work independently, with initiative, in a fast moving environment.
