Finance Controller

The Opportunity

A fantastic 6month opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller in a multi-site hospitality business backed by private equity. They are an excellent business with a rapidly growing portfolio of restaurants through both acquisition and organic growth. 2017 is a crucial year; they have just received funding from the PE house and are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced FC to work alongside the CFO and Head of FP&A in planning and executing the next growth phase.

The Role

In this role you will have the opportunity to be particularly hands on whilst maintaining responsibility for the accurate presentation of management information & monthly board packs to stakeholders. This will require an individual with a good technical skill set but also the commercial acumen to address what sites have the potential to yield further profitability and which sites are at risk. Furthermore you will be in control of budgets & forecasts whilst owning the KPI’s around site development. Moreover management of financial controls, month-end and overseeing AP & AR functions will be important. Finally strong excel skills to re-engineer month-end whilst keeping a visible audit trail will be essential. The different sites will be integrated onto the same system (Dynamics AX) so some systems/integration experience will be beneficial.

The Requirements

• Fully qualified (ACA / CIMA or ACCA)
• Private Equity experience
• Experience in hospitality / multi-site (desirable)
• Acquisition integration exposure
• Advanced Excel modelling skills (essential)
• Proven background in process improvement and development
• System integration experience (Dynamics AX preferred)
• Outgoing & strong people management skills
