Head of Commercial Finance

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a very well regarded fashion retail brand as the Head of Commercial Finance. A highly successful brand within its market, it has ambitious plans to grow over the coming years and this position is responsible for providing financial support and analysis in all commercial decisions, as well as detailed strategic planning.

The Role

Heading up commercial finance in its entirety and managing the financial team, you will be asked to play a pivotal part in key strategic decisions that will ultimately drive the performance of the brand. Working in a super fast paced and dynamic environment, the role will ensure that teams are supporting the growth of the business, including expansion into new territories and the establishing commercial analysis to support new operations.

As such, you will be at the centre of a number of key decisions. You will be depended upon for financial insight, commercial proposals and play a key role in strategic decision making, so high-quality business awareness is essential.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate is a commercially savvy individual with an analytical way of thinking, who is able to manage a substantial planning and analysis team comfortably. Experience of supervising a team is essential as this is an integral aspect of this all encompassing role.

Therefore, the candidate needs to be a strong communicator, have confident interpersonal skills and be able to work within non finance functions. A retail or multi site background is a must and experience in a fashion company is preferable.

Applicants will ideally be a qualified accountants (ACA/ACCA/ACMA), who can demonstrate excellence in financial performance and have the ability to approach their tasks in a holistic and forward thinking way.
