Management Accountant

Based in Thame, Oxfordshire, our well established local client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on a minimum 3 month temporary basis.

This job would suit an immediately available Management Accountant with a minimum of 12 months' experience of producing the monthly management pack as well as working with non-finance managers in the business to discuss budgets and reasons for variances from this of actuals.

With a friendly and busy accounts function, this is a pleasant environment to go into for a few months to keep yourself busy over the summer months.

The successful individual can be part qualified, a stop studier or qualified by experience having not studied before as the key factors are a strong understanding of budgets, forecasts and the production of the monthly management accounts pack. Great communication skills are essential as the candidate will be liaising with managers across the business on a daily basis.

Duties will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Variance analysis of actuals versus budget
• Provide useful feedback/explanations of financial performance to non-finance-personnel
• Accruals & Prepayments
• Compile balance sheet reconciliations to ensure adherence to Group policy
• Conducting monthly accounts reviews with P&L managers and operations
• Monthly CAPEX reporting and forecast updates to support analysis against budget and decision making
• Other ad-hoc requirements as requested by senior finance members
