Consolidation Accountant - £45,000.00 - Woking
Gleeson Accountancy Recruitment are delighted to be working with a global not-for-profit charity, to recruit an experienced Consolidation Accountant to deliver accurate, timely accounting and reporting.

The Role
The successful Consolidation Accountant will work within the group finance department, responsible for group finance accounting and reporting, including balance sheets of operation, subsidiaries and complex consolidation of results. Key duties will include:
- Calculating consolidation and elimination adjustments. Posting on reporting system on a monthly basis
- Maintaining the monthly/quarterly consolidation reports and preparation of fund level reports
- Identifying unusual items in the consolidated figures and highlighting to management
- Be the subject matter expert in consolidation and reporting system, providing expertise when required
- Interpreting and understanding foreign currency implications from consolidations
- Work closely with the intercompany team
- Preparation of consolidated group accounts, schedules and year-end notes to support the production of the statutory financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
- Provide technical expertise for USGAAP and IFRS
- Preparation of consolidated schedules to support the IRS 990 tax return
- Other ad hoc requests
The Candidate
The successful Consolidation Accountant will:
- Be ACA or equivalent
- Be educated to degree standard
- Have a proven technical accounting ability with knowledge of corporate accounting, under both IFRS and US GAAP
- Have advanced consolidation systems knowledge
The successful Consolidation Accountant demonstrate the following skills and behaviours:
- The ability to learn quickly
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels with financial and non-financial staff
- The ability to make sound decisions within the finance area and be accountable for those decisions
- Show strong financial reporting design skills, the ability to produce reports and slide packs to a high presentational standard
- Able to develop and work to complex operating timetables
- Be consistent, work under pressure and prioritise
