Head of Commercial Finance

As Head of Commercial Finance for this award winning creative business, you will be expected to add value and challenge from Day One. Competition within the sector is fierce, though the market is growing constantly and the expectation is that your share of that continues to grow.

As such, you will be at the centre of a number of key decisions. Ensuring that work is priced appropriately; following through on tenders won to ensure contribution is as expected; long and short range forecasts; continual challenge of assumptions and established practice. All of this and much more will be driven by you, as you strive to gain the appropriate balance between creative innovation and excellence and solid commercial reasoning. How you land on the business therefore is absolutely crucial: this is a demanding, expectant environment where opinions will need to be both accommodated and challenged. If you feel there is a better way to do something, you will act upon that instinct.

You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong modelling and commercial exposure. How you articulate your achievements will be as important as what you have delivered, as your communication skills, passion for excellence, robust personality and determination to succeed will all be probed daily in this position. You will need to think quickly, act decisively and have a natural affinity towards a broad range of stakeholders. Manchester Based.
