Finance Manager

Our client within the Manufacturing sector is recruiting a Senior Finance Manager in West Lothian.


Your new company: Hays Senior Finance have partnered with a premium international brand within the Food Manufacturing Industry for the appointment of an operational and commercially focused Finance Manager. Part of a highly successful, global Group with turnover of £1.7 billion, our client is an award winning production business with customer focus and innovation at the heart of their model and a long-established and growing customer relationship. The Finance Manager will lead the Management Accounts team within an exceptionally faced paced multi-site business, with turnover of £110m and 1500 employees.

Your new role
Reporting directly to the Senior Financial Controller you will be responsible for the management accounts function of a high performing food Manufacturing business. You will be responsible for the leadership and direction of a team of 4, supporting them to deliver daily, weekly and monthly performance reporting and financial support and control to other functions within the business, specifically the Operations, Development and Commercial teams. This role will have a wide breadth across budget and forecast management, driving business performance though delivery of key projects and commercial and investment appraisal. Experience across standard product costings and reporting, KPI management, continuous improvement, robust financial planning and cross-functional business partnering will be an essential part of the role.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience whilst operating at a senior level. You will have a comprehensive portfolio of experience working within a deadline driven FMCG operation and have direct experience in a leadership role. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills with exposure to financial and non-financial stakeholders, be an effective people manager with the ability to manage day to day demands with project work. As site IS champion, you will be confident working with ERP systems and be an advanced Excel user. This is an exciting role for an ambitious, self-driven and forward thinking, operationally and commercially aware Finance Manager. This post will be a key facilitator in driving forward performance improvements across a production environment and candidates should have experience within a similar environment. You will be expected to deputise for the Senior Financial Controller (business finance lead) as required.
