Tax Manager

My client are recruiting for a Tax Credits Specialist Firm, they are looking for a Tax manager to come on board to join their successful business in Bolton.

The Role

· You will provide tax guidance to clients and team juniors in the preparation of tax relief claims.

· Mentoring juniors in the preparation of costing schedules, Company Tax Returns and tax computations in support of tax relief claims.

· Review the report and calculations prior to submission to HMRC.

· Communicate with clients and HMRC, ensuring claims are processed efficiently.

· Manage overall team assignments and workflow.

· Help to establish new and maintain strong existing client relationships with both existing and new clients.

· Progress business development opportunities and to pitch for work with both new and existing clients.

Profile

You will:-

· Be a tax professional and have experience of dealing with tax claims from a small boutique or an accountancy firm.

· Have strong report writing skills, commercial awareness and a good understanding of business practises.

· Be highly professional, personable and present well in client meetings.

· Have experience of managing a team and their development.

· Have a good understanding of team performance metrics (KPI's)

· Be an experienced user of Microsoft Excel, Word etc..

· Be prepared to travel to client meetings anywhere in the UK.

· Be able to manage a portfolio of clients

· Have strong communication skills both verbally, over emails and in front of clients

- Have your own transport.

Required experience:-

· Team Management: 1 year

· Leading Client Meetings: 2 years

· Corporation Tax: 1 year

· Tax Planning: 1 year

Salary:-

The successful candidate will receive £35-45k, dependant on experience.
