Group Financial Controller

Our client is a fast growing consumer business who have won multiple awards since inception. This business is an established brand who prides itself on quality. In order to compliment the level of expansion they are experiencing, they are looking to recruit a technically able Group Financial Controller who can also demonstrate a commercial mind-set. This is a business critical role reporting into the CFO, requiring the successful individual to deliver operational excellence across finance. The environment compliments a driven individual who is ambitious, innovative and able to deliver. Sitting within the Senior Management team, this role offers high level exposure and visibility across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining all financial controls to ensure compliance across the finance function;
• Managing financial implications of entering new territories;
• Supporting key stakeholders with business case reviews and commercial decision making;
• Managing day to day finance operations;
• Reviewing group systems and taking the lead on implementing a new accounting system;
• Delivering accurate, reliable and timely information to the executives, board, bankers and external compliance bodies, such as Companies House and HMRC;
• Production of the monthly consolidated accounts and year end statutory accounts for Group;
• Production of weekly cash-flow and the management of cash around the Group;
• Managing the annual audit and the relationship with the auditors.

The Successful Candidate will have:

• A formal finance qualification ideally ACA, with experience working as a Financial Controller;
• A background working in consumer led businesses;
• A proven track record driving change in a larger business;
• Proven IFRS experience;
• Proven experience of improving processes and controls;
