What you’ll be doing:
Financial Modelling and Analysis: Creation and ownership of financial analysis for a range of business proposals, analysing pricing and product development initiatives and new content opportunities; balancing short-term efficiencies and long-term commercial growth while adhering to the appropriate governance. Make recommendations based on the financial analysis in a format suitable for the CEO and CFO.
Thought Leadership: Provide the direction in translating the strategic debate into the relevant quantitative analysis to support management decision making across multiple products for the consumer
Business Partnering: Actively support and influence a range of senior stakeholders by delivering the required financial insight, while providing appropriate challenge to ensure the right financial and commercial outcomes are delivered, driving forward business performance. Support the business in taking greater financial accountability though coaching to improve confidence and competence across commercial teams
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with members of the Finance community to promote and share ideas, skills, experiences and best practice (internal and external). Help to promote the development of the other members of the Strategy and Content finance team.
Experience / Skills Required:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant PQE, ideally with prior experience in telecoms and/or Big 4 and/or relevant industry
Advanced financial modelling (excel) skills: ability to build/manipulate detailed models to arrive at appropriate outputs/metrics to support decision making, across a raft of scenarios
Communication - Experience of explaining complex financial outcomes to senior financial and non-financial stakeholders through both oral and written communication. Ability tailor message to the relevant audience, distilling key messages without losing the appropriate level of detail
Leadership - Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills dealing in dealing with key commercial stakeholders
