Senior Financial Reporting Manager

A global leading Technology and Software company in Enfield are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Manager ( ACA/ACCA). This is a key role managing and preparing the accounting and reporting activities of the Group with particular emphasis on quarter end reporting to the Board and Executive Management. This role is responsible for managing and developing two qualified accountants.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, Senior Financial Reporting Manager responsibilities will include:

• Managing the month and quarter end accounting close and review of the Group's consolidated monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Review of month end balance sheet reconciliations and journals, and liaison with other members of the finance team to ensure deadlines are achieved
• Assisting the revenue accountant with reviewing customer contracts to ensure compliance with the Group's revenue recognition accounting policies under IFRS 15
• Take the lead on technical accounting matters that might impact the group such as leases, acquisitions and share based payment charges
• Assistance with the preparation of the Annual Report and a key contact during the annual external audit
• Liaising closely with the financial planning and analysis team in areas such as expenditure control and budget reporting
• Managing the training and development of two team members including the revenue accountant
• Producing all internal financial reports for the senior management team, dealing with variance analysis queries and other ad-hoc requirements as part of the regular reporting cycles
• Working with teams outside of the finance function to understand the impact of commercial and systems enhancements on the finance team and provide a key input into those decision making processes.

As the Senior Financial Reporting Manager, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Big Four or top ten background ( ACA)
• Degree educated with a 2;1 or above
• Experience of IFRS in either a commercial environment or from an audit perspective
• Experience within the technology sector
• Advanced excel skills
