Assistant Management Accountant

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Pratap are recruiting a part qualified Assistant Management Accountant for a well established professional organisation based in Sheffield. Close to the motorway they are commutable from Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley, Worksop and Chesterfield.

THE JOB:

The main purpose of the role is to work closely with the Financial Controller providing financial support to key areas. Duties will include:

Reviewing and preparing monthly management accounts
Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts for review
Updating and maintaining the fixed asset register
Preparing and posting monthly journals including prepayment and accruals
Preparing VAT Returns
Assisting with preparing group monthly management accounts
Assisting with preparing group annual accounts
Processing supplier payments
Cover for other team members as required during holiday or sickness periods
Ad hoc duties as required

THE PERSON:

Previous experience is essential
You will currently be studying towards AAT / CIMA / ACCA
The ability to work under prioritise work load, work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential
Good communication skills are essential
Working knowledge of Excel required
