Group Reporting Analyst - 6 Months
Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, our client, an international leader in their field, is looking for a qualified accountant to join them as Group Reporting Analyst on a temporary basis for c.6 months.
This job would suit a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who would be responsible for providing meaningful data and analysis to senior management and shareholders as well as supporting the finance team with projects and business as usual.
This company is a market leader in their field offering a variety of solutions to a wide range of customers improving performance on a global scale. Recent investment from shareholders has resulted in more interest coming externally and therefore increased demands for analysis and reporting.
The successful individual will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified with a strong background in analysis of large company P&L and Balance Sheets. Experience of working in a Group finance function and ideally having liaised with a Shared Service Centre providing key information. Experience of using large ERP and reporting systems would be useful (SAP, Oracle, TM1, Hyperion, BPC).
Duties will include:
- Provide meaningful data and analysis to senior management and shareholders
- Support Finance team with Projects and Business as usual, as required.
- Respond promptly to questions from our shareholders
- Support year end closing, Group/ subsidiary accounts in IFRS and audit activities if required
- Manage a budget for professional revenues
- Raise Purchase Orders & chase payment
- Gather all relevant information from internal stakeholders/ project members
- Follow through until the information is complete and aligned
- Ad hoc Group Finance activities including managing process changes, understanding of consolidation, technical advice and continuous improvement
