Finance Business Partner

Rate: Up to £400 per day

Duration: 6 month initial contract

Location: Central London

Our client is one of the UK's largest independent restaurant groups. They are recruiting a Finance Business Partner to drive performance across a £100m cost base.

Responsibilities

Leading a team of 2 you will be responsible for budgets totalling £100m annually. The role encompasses the accurate accounting of all cost, reporting and analysis and business partnering for the spending departments.

• Business partner with all central department heads (including Marketing, IT, Finance and Property) - build a relationship with the department heads that enables active challenging of spend
• Produce annual budget and update periodic forecasts with department heads- challenge assumptions, variances, and suggest areas for efficiencies
• Account for the fixed cost element of the restaurant chain including rent, rates and maintenance. Ensure the spend is accurate by site to support unit level profitability analysis
• Undertake the accounting, analysis and reporting for the annual capex budget of £20m
• Develop an understanding of all departments including the key cost drivers and reporting requirements.

Key Skills / Experience

• Accounting qualification with post qualified experience
• Confidence to challenge senior business partners
• Experience working within a multi-site environment
• Highly organised and process driven able to find improvements and efficiencies in the working methods.
• Possess strong analytical skills and in particularly can demonstrate the ability to conclude and make recommendations
• Excellent communication skills
