Finance Director

Opportunity for a strong leader to take the helm of a growing, multi-national complex services business with the chance to implement new ideas, build on a period of continued growth and deliver a best in class finance function

This Finance Director role is in an instantly recognisable multi-national organisation, going through a continued period of growth, driven by multiple acquisitions. Having doubled in size over the past few years, they are now looking for a strong Finance Director who can take a large, but somewhat fragmented finance team and deliver a best in class, fully integrated finance function with a consistent, streamlined finance offering. This is to include all systems, policies, procedures etc. across the UK & Ireland.

Alongside key finance accountabilities such as monthly close and business analysis, the main purpose of this role will be to drive efficiencies across the organisation. Both commercial and financial acumen are needed to achieve cashflow objectives, ensure contract profitability, support with bid and pricing strategies, and facilitate interface with the project accounting team. This Finance Director role will collaborate with operational stakeholders to develop business strategy and input into the budgeting and forecasting processes.

The successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional who is capable of leading from the front in a complex business, whilst also being hands-on and proactive with problem solving. You will ideally have a background in engineering, construction or professional services, though the client will consider candidates of an exceptional calibre from other industries. You must be a strong business partner with the ability to build relationships at all levels across the business, and be comfortable in a growth environment.
