Financial Accountant

Axon Moore is working with a growing industry leader, looking at add an ambitious and high-calibre Financial Accountant to their high-calibre leadership team.

Based in South Manchester, the business is a global market leader in its field and envisages a wide variety of change across the business in the future.

Working alongside a high-calibre Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will be looking for a dynamic and varied work environment where they can make a significant impact within a market-leading business.

The Financial Accountant will undertake the following roles and responsibilities;

• Monthly variance analysis on WIP, accrued and deferred income for all entities
• Quarterly internal audit procedures
• Monthly review and analysis of worldwide group ledger reconciliations and difference reports
• Quarterly preparation of IFRS and UK GAAP compliant balance sheets to audit standard
• Quarterly submission of group reporting in Magnitude for several entities in line with group deadlines
• Assist with preparation of financial statements for trading entities.  Tasks include cut off testing on revenue/costs
• Prepare audit deliverables and be a key contact for external and internal auditors
• Own the process to prepare and deliver PL analysis for CT returns on a quarterly basis
• Annually, provide data to the appointed corporation tax advisors to clear queries arising from the tax return process
• Support the Finance Manager with other financial control and compliance projects

The successful candidate will be fully qualified ACA or ACCA with an outstanding academic track record. The Financial Accountant will be able to demonstrate experience in a dynamic and changing environment.

In addition, the individual will have the following skills and experiences;
• First time passes in ACA or ACCA
• Experience with IFRS & FRS 102
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
