Senior appointment required for an established Kent based Firm. My client is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Partner /Director/Senior Manager to report directly to the Management Board. This appointment will be responsible for the Business Tax department, leading the firms taxation specialism and working as part of the leadership team. You will along side the Partners of the Firm take responsibility for the overall successes of the firm managing a team and motivating excellence.

The Firm's capabilities as a tax team go far beyond what you would expect from a regional firm . They pride themselves on the depth and breadth of their knowledge and expertise and their ability to apply these to commercially to clients complex affairs. Ranging from high net worth and high earning individuals to non-domiciled, non-resident clients including off-shore trusts and corporate structures and from owner managed businesses to the local farmer, we provide an all encompassing and excellent standard of care and service provision.

You will be reporting directly to the management board, this position holds the responsibility, with the assistance of the tax managers, for running the office tax department who comprise of reliable, professional and commercial individuals.

The successful applicant will have shared responsibility with the other partners, managers and team leaders for the success of the department and the firm generally.

Main duties will include:
- To continue to develop the high quality provision of tax services
- To develop tax provision in niche markets where possible
- to be part of the leadership of the tax function firm wide, and provide operational leadership to the local tax team
- To manage own client portfolio and responsibility for growing this
- To provide consultancy services to clients, including those of other partners

The ideal candidate will have a relevant professional qualification (eg CTA, ACA, ACCA) you will be working in practice and have relevant tax experience (with a bias towards business/ corporate tax) You will be used to working with a variety of business and personal clients with experience of onshore and offshore tax planning. You will be a good networker with proven business winning skills, a track record of successfully managing, motivating and leading a team.
