Project Accountant

Our client, a recognised name in their field are looking for a bright, engaging Project Accountant to join their team in a varied role. You will be supporting a new Joint Venture (JV) infrastructure project for a hugely exciting development that will be key to the business increasing its foothold in the market. 

Working closely with the project commercial director and a number of key stakeholders, you will have a wide range of responsibility with genuine decision making ability and exposure throughout the business.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the timely preparation of accurate monthly reporting, complying with all relevant accounting policies and requirements

• Prepare monthly management accounts for various entities relating to the joint venture

• Act as a financial partner to the relevant leadership teams to ensure all financial issues are robustly and effectively managed and reported

• Work closely with the Commercial teams to understand and influence business performance and manage risks

• Accountable for accurate cash flow forecasting and credit checks on clients and JV partners

• Be the main contact for shareholder queries on accounting issues

Requirements / Skillset

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent

• Have excellent, well rounded communication skills

• Experience implementing systems and processes

• Previous experience in a project accounting role, or similar

• Strong management accounting experience essential

• Advanced Excel user
