Investigo are delighted to be exclusively retained by a manufacturing business in Rugby. Our client a leader in its field are recruiting a Group Reporting Manager, who will be responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of Group Reporting, including the preparation of monthly consolidated Management Accountant, Cash Forecasting, Preparation of statutory accounts and other filing requirements for an international 12-company group with a turnover of circa £40million.

This is a newly created role which will report directly to the Group Finance Director. The successful applicant will have technical and practical experience of completing consolidations, a process driven mindset and a determination to hit deadlines and look to continually improve the reporting processes.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Consolidated Monthly Management Accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow and other relevant information;
  • Ensure data integrity within operating unit data submissions including identifying and investigating variances submitted;
  • Fortnightly Consolidated Cash Forecasting;
  • Daily Cash Balance Reporting for all Group Companies;
  • Co-ordination and consolidation of Annual Budget Process
  • Support operational finance teams to ensure consistency of policies and reporting requirements;
  • Managing the Group's auditors and the production of the statutory financial statements;
  • Oversight and active management of inter-entity balances to reduce forex adjustments
  • Providing narratives and explanations of trends
  • Provide hands on support of the balance sheet control process across the group;
  • Treasury management to ensure optimum utilisation of banking facilities across the group;
  • Quarterly Group VAT Return;
  • Corporation tax planning and collation of relevant info required for tax disclosures and computations
  • Prepare board packs
  • Working closely with the Group Finance Director on other ad hoc projects
  • Potential for accounting for Head Office accounts depending on quality/experience of candidate

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience of stat accounts production for consolidated group under UK GAAP / FRS102
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate well remotely;
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyse high volumes of data at high speed
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Aptitude to simplify, present and explain complex data
  • Autonomous with ability to manage upward communication
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Self-motivation and commitment as well as enthusiasm in supporting new processes and change
  • Excellent Excel skills and willingness to learn a new system
