OVERVIEW
Looking for a strong finance assistant to work for a large global company reporting to the financial controller. This UK office based company in Woking
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities:
- Working within IT Finance sector assisting Group Finance Controller with invoice processing to ensure that all Group IT procurement and service invoices on receipt are promptly tracked, checked, matched to orders, correctly supported, approved and returned to Group Finance.
- There is a requirement to liaise with operating companies monthly to describe the postings of goods and services procured through the Intercompany Account both externally procured and internally transferred.
- Correspondence with the Group Finance payables processing function will also be required.
- Resolve Vendor statement queries as required by Group Finance.
- Assisting with Month end KPI reporting for inclusion in Finance/Board packs
- Responsible for goods and services with pre-agreed suppliers including generating quotes, placing orders, managing deliveries and ensuring a full audit trail is recorded via raising invoices and PO management
- Ownership of the IT catalogue items to ensure standardisation across the operation and compliance with CTO/Operations supported devices.
- Ensure all Capital/Hardware items are labelled appropriately and captured on fixed asset register.
- Business Partners and resolving issues as and when they occur and working closely with Procurement team to ensure cashflow control and financial milestones
- Stock reconciliation - fully auditable at all times
EDUCATION AND SKILLS
The role would suit a keen individual who enjoys working within finance and IT
- First class attention to detail and exceptional numerical competency
- Graduate (or equivalent)
- Strong excel skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Advanced Excel/MS Office Skills
- Advanced MS Access database Skills
- Ability to work under pressure including first class Customer relationship skills
- Ability to liaise with all levels of Customer (internal & external)
- Desire to produce accurate, reliable and high quality work in a timely manner
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Genuine interest in dealing with personnel that possess varying levels of financial expertise
- Self-starter and innovative thinker
- Ability to work independently and knowledge of when to communicate updates
