An opportunity has now arisen for a General Practice Manager to join the Senior Management team with the day-to-day operations of the Practice and implement efficiency procedures to take the firm to the next level and assist with its rapid growth.

Client Details

A rapidly growing Accountancy firm based in Hampshire providing wide range of services including but not limited to accounting, tax compliance, tax planning, payroll, financial planning, tax and business solutions for small and medium size enterprises.

Description

You will report directly to the directors and this position is responsible for running the day-to-day operation of the practice which has two departments (Accounting/ Tax and E-commerce).

Profile:

The General Practice Manager must display a great part of the following attributes;

Essential:

  • Professional qualification e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CTA, ATT or an MBA in Finance gained ideally in a general practice environment
  • Experience as a Practice Manager or Senior role within a practice
  • Proven experience of working with accounting software such as Iris, Kasflow, Xero or Sage

Profile

  • Able to take full management responsibility for a portfolio of clients
  • Must have a background of managing a sizeable client portfolio with a broad mix of accounts clients
  • Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Preparation and review of Corporate Tax computations
  • Review of statutory year-end accounts
  • Liaising with and providing general technical advice to clients
  • Being able to manage junior employees
  • Excellent interaction and communication skills
  • A background in dealing confidently with a variety of business and personal clients
  • Proven business winning skills with the ability to generate new business through existing or new clients
  • Self-motivated, ambitious and is used to working to targets
  • Track record of successfully managing, motivating and leading a team
  • Diligent, accurate and hands on approach to work
  • Have a good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
