Financial Controller

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be apart of an exciting growth story for a high profile international restaurant business, with an opportunity to make a real difference. The role requires a highly commercial and operationally strong Financial Controller to effectively manage the finance team and propel the company through its next period of growth.

Reporting into the Finance Director of this PE backed business; this is a dynamic role encompassing both strategic and operational responsibilities and requires a driven FC with commercial acumen and gravitas to help develop the company strategy as it continues on its ambitious plan for growth.

Responsibilities

• Day to day management of the full finance team including training and mentoring, across the group.
• The candidate would also be responsible for managing and mentoring accounting services for all subsidiaries to ensure seamless standardised processes and controls are administered
• Overseeing payroll and cash management systems
• Responsibility of consolidating accounts, working capital management and ensuring effective cash flow and balance sheet/ covenant forecasting processes are in place
• Overseeing the management of international sales, including reporting and running of KPI's

The Candidate

• Prior experience preferably working in a multi site hospitality or retail business
• Has an understanding of the back of house control environment, with ability to develop and improve profit conversion
• Strong leader, who has the ability to manage and motivate a team, capable of self motivation and working on individual initiatives
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet continuous deadlines
• Experience working in a fast paced, constantly moving environment
• Excellent communication skills to manage relationships with finance and non-finance staff together

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA), with strong operational experience gained in a multisite business. Appropriate candidates will have prior experience managing a team and impressive interpersonal skills.
