Location: Choose between London, Wrexham or Birmingham
Type: Permanent
Salary: Circa £50k, dependant on experience and locations, plus generous benefits.
How has JTL grown into one of the UK`s leading work-based learning providers and apprenticeship providers? Innovative training resources and unrivalled industry knowledge have played their part, of course. But look behind our success and you will also discover talented finance professionals - people with the expertise to drive our financial efficiency and ensure the best possible use of our financial resources.
So, join our team and, depending on your location, you will spend a minimum of two days per week in our Head Office in Orpington and we can promise you a career environment that`s both challenging and rewarding.
Leading our accounts team from the front, you will develop and maintain all of our financial controls, systems and processes. This will involve more than preparing budgets, monitoring expenditure and producing financial accounts in line with statutory requirements. You will analyse and interpret financial data used for decision-making and ensure that individual cost and profit centres have all the information they need for effective budget management. Contributing to our three-year strategic plan and annual business plan will also be part of your role - and we will rely on you to oversee audit visits and keep abreast of external financial developments that may affect JTL.
You must have a formal accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA or CIMA - and a good working knowledge of accounting software such as Sage Line 50. Strong, and proven, people management skills and previous responsibility for statutory and management accounts are, of course, essential. In addition, you will ideally have experience of Charity Finance and SORP accounting, and any knowledge of Government funding and work-based learning would be an advantage.
Attractive rewards, ongoing professional development and excellent career prospects are all part of the package. Interested? Then take the first step and apply online today by using the apply button.
JTL is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all its employees to share this commitment. We welcome applicants from all sections of the community. A DBS disclosure will be required.
