Audit Practice Director
Salary: £87,000 - £130,000
Location: London
This is an exciting time in the evolution of the GIAA. We have just launched our Corporate Plan for 2017-18 which is our response to feedback from our customers and our people, as well as the wider challenges facing the Civil Service. Established in 2015, we are proud to now employ around 75% of all the internal auditors working in Central Government.
We are now embarking on our search for a talented individual who has the energy, experience and drive to deliver the role of Audit Practice Director for the Government Internal Audit Agency.
This is a new, unique and critical role in GIAA. The Audit Practice Director will provide strategic leadership of the development of our business. Recognising that our commercial and professional development is inherently linked, they will lead on a broad front but with strong support. The development of the organisation through its commercial strategy including the design and implementation of the charging model, will be part of the post holder’s remit. But they will also lead the development and implementation of the Agency’s methodology and operational policy. They will be supported directly by the Corporate Services Director and the Professional Practice Director.
As a Board member reporting directly to the Chief Executive and working alongside two Operational Directors and three non-executive directors including the chair of the Agency. You will be expected to influence the Agency’s development as we continue to build towards our vision of a flexible and responsive internal audit service which has a reputation among top management as making a real difference, providing excellent value for money and that is regarded as a great place to work.
A CCAB or equivalent accountancy qualification coupled with excellent technical skills and executive-level experience of working within an audit practice is essential
If you think you have the skills, experience and ambition that we are looking for, we’d love to hear from you. Please use the apply button.
