The Role

The Stansted Transformation Programme is a multi-million pound package of investments to support growth at the airport. The programme includes a new dedicated arrivals building, transforming the existing terminal building into a dedicated departures terminal, improvements to airfield infrastructure and car parking facilities.

This interesting, commercial role provides exposure to the entire airport business. You will work closely with the project team and operational business partners as an integral member of the team. This role will have significant exposure to senior executives within the organisation.

 Reporting into the Finance Business Partner, you will:

  • Provide financial analytical support to the Airport transformation project team to assist in developing business cases from initial concept to investment decision status.
  • Take ownership of inputs, changes and outputs to project forecast model, maintaining change logs and providing analysis.
  • Reconcile project phases, investigate scenarios and sensitivities to the base case.
  • Assist in the preparation of business case presentations, board papers and reports.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly project cash flows.
  • Ensure sound financial governance principles are adhered to at all times.

 

You

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2 years post qualification experience. You will have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with particular focus on advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP would be beneficial.

You will have a background in Financial Planning and Analysis and Investment Appraisals experience, gained in a complex business environment with multiple revenue streams.

You’ll be a confident, credible communicator, with influencing skills, able to interpret and translate financial data (in verbal and written format) to non-financial stakeholders. You’ll demonstrate the ability to use your initiative and be effective at prioritising your time and working collaboratively with the broader project team.

12 month fixed term contract, with potential for extension as the programme progresses

Competitive Basic Salary - £50,000 - £55,000 plus annual bonus scheme (of up to 15%), pension and free parking, amongst other benefits.
