Your new company
You will be working for two key divisions of Berkeley Home Health (group T/O £30m) which turn over a combined £14m per annum based predominantly in the Farnham offices but travelling regularly to support the accounts and admin team based in Gloucestershire.
Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Director you will initially be involved in a project based role for one of the divisions ensuring accounting and payroll are aligned with the group. Once successfully completed, you will be taking on full ownership of the financial operations and reporting including full management accounts preparation, budgeting/forecasting, overseeing and ensuring accuracy of transactional processing, credit control and payroll activities. An important aspect of the role is working with the operational managers, so they understand their results and better plan how to grow and improve profitability in their respective businesses.
What you’ll need to succeed
In addition to your commercial finance experience and broad exposure to all aspects of accounting, credit control and payroll you should have a strong track record driving change successfully and improving efficiency. A strong team player, you should also be comfortable working across disciplines in a hands on environment.
Whilst not essential, experience of care or similar industries, involving employees working variable hours in a number of locations and experience of acquisitions and post-acquisition integrations would be advantageous. An accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) would also be advantageous.
Please note the role requires travel and stays of 2/3 days in Gloucestershire in first 3 months, then travel to Gloucestershire will be two times a month thereafter.
What you’ll get in return
Career progression is encouraged as you’ll be working for a fast growing group who have expanded from £5m to £30m turnover in three years. The role also offers great opportunities to influence the quality and effectiveness of its operations whilst working with some of the most respected executives in the industry.
