We are seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to join our SSC team based in Hammersmith on a permanent basis.

Aims of the Job:

As the Senior Compliance Manager, you will lead the EMEA Compliance accounting team and oversee all compliance matters.

This will include managing the compliance, statutory, accounting and reporting processes and partnering with the local finance teams, shared services centre (SSC) and global controllership to provide accounting support to the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coaching and managing the development of the Compliance team.
  • Managing the preparation of local compliance and statutory reporting
  • Managing the delivery of Corporate Compliance deliverables quarterly and annually
  • Advising the local finance team and the SSC on accounting issues and ad-hoc requests
  • Ensuring compliance for accounting policies, review and lead internal controls improvements
  • Managing the consolidated balance sheet, review balance sheet reconciliations and clear outstanding items for locally managed accounts
  • Leading company accounting restructures / business development projects
  • Keeping up to date with UK GAAP and group accounting policies and advise management on needed actions
  • Managing and driving improvements of EMEA audits, to ensure PwC centralized audit approach is efficient & cost effective
  • Acting as the EMEA lead contact with Group Management audit, to facilitate internal audits and management actions
  • Monitoring the level of accounting support to the business and work with the SSC to identify possible issues and implement process improvement initiatives

About you:

Suitable candidates will offer the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified accountant / Bachelor degree in accounting or related field
  • Significant finance/accounting experience in a multinational or accounting firm
  • Understanding of local statutory and Compliance and US GAAP reporting requirements
  • Experience of managing staff in a SOX compliant international company
  • Experience working with a shared services operations a plus
  • Entertainment and Media experience a plus
  • SAP experience
