As a global leader within the Property Services sector, this established real estate management group provides market leading, end-to-end solutions and “best in class” occupiers and investors services to a brand-name international client portfolio. A business restructure following a high profile and complex EMEA transformation programme and integration project, alongside the merger of two large businesses, has created an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to undertake a Revenue Financial Controller role. Supporting UK Controllers across several global business units in the delivery of legal control responsibilities and business unit financial strategy, you will act as a key point of contact for the Shared Services Centre (SSC), auditors and EMEA Control team. Your brief includes:

•Driving revenue recognition in line with Group accounting policy & external audit requirements
•Reviewing month end process undertaken by Shared Service Centre, Finance Business Partners & Commercial Analysts to ensure completeness & accuracy of reported revenue
•Acting as a key contact to provide guidance on & resolve revenue recognition issues
•Reviewing Bad Debt provision calculations to ensure these reflect true risk to the business
•Reviewing reconciliations in relation to relevant balance sheet accounts
•Working with EMEA Technical Accounting lead to ensure revenue recognition is compliant with group accounting policy & external audit requirements
•Delivering compliance with global financial policy, ensuring adherence to internal financial controls & effective operation of processes

As a graduate ACA ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant, with proven Revenue Controllership experience gained within a global or EMEA business environment, you will demonstrate a commercial understanding of contracts, mandates, US & UK GAAP in relation to revenue recognition requirements. The role demands stakeholder management experience, critical thinking and analytical skills with a proven ability to simplify complicated financial matters.
