Management Accountant

The SF Group part qualified division are recruiting for a part or newly qualified Management Accountant. Your new company is a high profile manufacturing business based in Derbyshire. They are recognised as a Gold Standard business by both CIMA and ACCA - supporting further study and the signing off of log books. They conduct a fast paced operation and are looking for an individual that can progress within a growing business.

The role is for a Management Accountant so you will ideally have three to five years in a similar role as Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant. This role will report into the Finance Director and it will consist of the following duties on a day to day basis:

• Produce monthly P& L
• Oversee the Sales and Purchase Ledgers
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Accruals and Prepayments
• Monthly Variance Analysis, and liaison with internal stakeholders in accordance with findings
• Production of monthly management account packs within deadline to be used in accounts meetings for senior accounts and operational staff
• Ensure efficiency of financial processes, assuming accountability of implementation for improvements where necessary

You will possess a high degree of commercial acumen, and the ability to business partner with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires you to be technically sound within the production of financial and management accounts. You will ideally have over three years experience in a similar role, and understand thoroughly the purpose of accounting in a manufacturing SME. With a solid basic understanding from several years of management accounts experience - you will now be starting to seek out improvements and act as an advisory member to the Finance Director and board. This is a manufacturing company in Nottingham, close to the city centre. It is easily commutable from the outskirts of Nottingham, and there is free parking on site.

This role ideally suits somebody who is part OR newly qualified within ACCA or CIMA. This position has a degree of seniority and is business critical, you will receive invaluable exposure to the inside workings of a very successful manufacturing company in Derbyshire with plentiful opportunities for progression. This role is available on a permanent basis, and applicants with 1 month notice periods are welcomed. The package in question includes a salary of £25,000 to £35,000, study support and generous annual holidays.
