Financial Analyst

This leading FTSE 100 Retail group with a strong focus on the Hospitality and Leisure sector, boasts a £multimillion turnover, a portfolio of instantly recognisable brands and a broad range of products and services. Having secured a leading market position based on a reputation for quality of service, competitive pricing and innovative marketing, a key operating division of the group is seeking a graduate qualified accountant to undertake a Financial Analyst role. Based within the Investment Appraisal team, your remit will be to support the achievement of ambitious strategic targets. A varied brief includes:

•Financial appraisal of future operating sites to realise robust investment decisions & deliver strategic targets
•Supporting the preparation of Project Appraisal packs incorporating all relevant commercial, capital expenditure, site details & financial analysis information for Executive approval
•Acting as finance business partner to the Property, Construction & Business Development teams
•Financial appraisal of new business concepts & products, ensuring investment decisions are incorporated into future business plans & forecasts, with an understanding of any impact to profit, returns & cash-flow
•Understanding the investment cycle during the delivery of investment appraisals
•Providing weekly & monthly financial data on achieving strategic divisional objectives
•Identification & analysis of consumer trends & development of Excel financial models

As a 2:1 or 1st class graduate qualified accountant with a track record of financial analysis, business partnering and an understanding of investment appraisal metrics gained within a blue-chip business environment, you will demonstrate a commercial mind set, the ability to influence key decision makers and strong Excel financial modelling skills.
