Description

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller the successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial, analytical and strategic decision support to senior management across assigned business areas. Key internal stakeholders will include:

• COO and CFO

• Business Unit Directors

• Group Financial Controller

This role will suit a highly analytical accountant who can turn data into insight and make well-considered recommendations in a dynamic growth environment. Stakeholder engagement through effective and open communication will allow the candidate to influence decisions and support the profitable growth of the business.

Candidates will have an excellent financial grounding and demonstrable commercial awareness. Experience gained in a dynamic and acquisitive services business is preferable. Key areas of responsibility:

• Provide timely and effective financial performance reporting/forecasting/budgeting and insight to support the business directors and their teams in driving profitable performance

• In conjunction with BI team, alignment and standardisation of financial and operational reporting across all businesses

• Cost and benefit identification and tracking to ensure any cost challenge programme is achieved and benefits realised and delivered as planned

• Deliver strategic cost insight and financial modelling of business scenarios to support, and challenge, the leadership team in delivering their objectives

• Committed to building and maintaining strong working relationships both within and outside of the Group Finance team. Influence decisions with key stakeholders and supports their strategic agenda in the wider business

Profile

Experience and qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with appropriate PQE

• Proven commercial awareness with a strong technical grounding

• Self-motivated, resilient and able to demonstrate initiative

• Highly customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills

• Proven analytical capability and experience of developing insightful MI

• A strong and self-aware communicator with ability to influence others

• Advanced Excel skills
