Group Project Accountant

This role is for 6 months for a qualified accountant and reporting into the Group Finance Systems manager to be a finance business partner on the global implementation of SAP.

The role is based in Central London and require an ability to work indepently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.

Subject matter expert on the Group chart of accounts

• Gain a detailed understanding of how the chart works, asessing its completeness
• Answer questions about the chart of accounts - providing guidance and support to the operating companies
• Identify where definitions are lacking and helo in the creation of supporting documentation
• Assess current state of th chart and suitability for future OpCp adpotion
• Focal point for statutory and management information change requests
• Work closely with IT and operating company finance teams on implementation of agreed changes
• Create and run a working group of SAP finance users to aid improvement in the deliverable
• Evaluate the future potential of the chart of accounts and understand how the other dimensions can be utilised to best suit reporting needs
• Liaise with and present to senior finance stakeholders for updates and direction
• Understanding the interaction with the Hyperion Group consolidation system
• Ad hoc project work
