As part of an exciting and wide-ranging transformation programme, our client is looking to appoint into a number of key positions to support the future development of the business. This key and highly visible role is a stand-alone finance business partner responsible for being the key financial support to a wide range of director-level internal stakeholders.

Detailed Job Description

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Influencing overall business strategy formulation, implementation and communication including being a key input into the ten year strategic plan
  • Acting as a sounding board, trusted advisor and facilitator of effective business decisions
  • Actively identifying and assessing key business risks and opportunities
  • Providing timely, accurate financial analysis, management information and board-level commentary on business performance to support decision marking
  • Supporting budget holders in the preparation, review, submission and presentation of business cases to support capital investment and strategic plans
  • Understanding and minimising the working capital requirements by co-ordinating long-term cash flow forecasts

The support the business requires will range from short-term investment evaluation to preparation and review of long-term mulit-million strategic proposals.

Candidate's Profile

We are looking for an exceptional individual who has held a senior finance business partnering role within a complex organisation and has a strong track record in both defining and executing a strategic plan. You will be a strong communicator, with the credibility and gravitas to be able to network effectively at a senior level and win the backing for your ideas from key stakeholders. Experience of change management and financial risk is preferred; an accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) is essential.
