Financial Accountant

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire- A leading business within the aviation field are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their current finance offering.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be joining a business that offers a first class service to a range of client?le on a daily basis. The business offer a supportive yet challenging environment to enhance professional development.

The role will be extremely hands-on and include delivering the monthly and yearly accounts with support from the senior team, produce timely management reporting packs including P&L analysis, comparison of budgets/forecasting with actual and variances. You will support the interim and financial audit for external statutory financial reporting. You will prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis paying high attention to high volume accounts ensuring appropriate queries are resolved in a time efficient manner. The role will see you challenge existing processes and practices within the business with suggestions of improvements welcomed.

The successful applicant will be AAT qualified or studying ACA/ACCA with prior experience in a financial accounting position or exposure to financial accounting processes. The role will require someone who can manage a number of processes at anyone point and the ability to challenge and communicate effectively with the finance team and wider business.
